Next Friday (10/14), from 10am to 12pm, the National Education and Research Network (RNP) will promote a workshop for providers and operators interested in participating in the Infovia 01 Neutral Operator consortium, which will link Santarém (PA) to Manaus (AM).

The event will be in virtual format, and will have the objective of presenting the business model, answering questions and clarifying the project. The initiative is part of the Norte Conectado Program, led by the Ministry of Communications, which aims to expand the communications infrastructure in the Amazon Region.

Unlike what happened at Infovia 00 (Macapá-Santarém), a pilot project of the Sustainable Integrated Amazon Program (PAIS), this time the optical infrastructure is not being implemented by RNP. 

This responsibility will fall to the Managing Entity of the Redistribution and Digitization Process of TV and RTV Channels (EAS/Seja Digital), as established in ANATEL judgment No. 242, of June 28, 2021. RNP will only act as manager of Infovia 01, following the guidelines of the PAIS-Norte Conectado Program Management Committee.
