Connected Education Innovation Policy
Instituted by Law No. 14,180, of July 1, 2021, the Federal Government's initiative aims to support the universalization of high-speed internet access and encourage the pedagogical use of digital technologies in basic education.

O papel da RNP
RNP is executing the Pilot Project of the Connected Education Innovation Policy (PIEC), for the internalization of education networks, in partnership with states and regional providers. The work consists of connecting basic education schools to RNP's infrastructure, via optical fiber, providing better access to the internet and allowing the school community to be served with high-speed networks (from 100 Mb/s), in order to promote digital transformation in basic education.
About the pilot project
The pilot project of the Connected Education Innovation Policy is an initiative led by the Basic Education Secretariat (SEB) of the Ministry of Education (MEC), in partnership with the States and regional providers. In addition to offering high-speed internet access via optical fiber, the project also offers secure Wi-Fi wireless network access, cloud management and signal availability.
