Rute is considered the largest telehealth initiative in Latin America and one of the largest in the world. It promotes integration of research groups to generate knowledge in the area using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Its users promote virtual meetings for remote communication and collaboration.

NutriSSAN is a cooperation focused on sovereignty and nutritional and food security for all. The network brings several Brazilian and international institutions together to develop public policies to support people in vulnerable situations, based on scientific research. There are 11 participating institutions in Brazil and Latin America and over 420 users.
The nine Ministries of Health of the nations that constitute CPLP - Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, East Timor, Sao Tome and Principe) form a permanent working group in telemedicine and telehealth, with national activities and programs among the member countries.
The Network of Technical Schools of the Unified Health System (RET-SUS) is an articulation strategy to strengthen the formation and the qualification of the technical education in the sector.
