Now, the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (Prouni) and the Student Financing Fund (Fies) are available at a single address: the Acesso Único Portal to Higher Education. Thus, candidates applying for a place in higher education are able to access the Ministry of Education (MEC) systems with much more practicality, filling in their registration data only once, since the information from the three programs is now integrated. The Acesso Único portal is part of a MEC project of the same name that benefits from digital security, modernity, transparency, user participation, integration, intelligence, monitoring and economy.

The National Education and Research Network (RNP), which in 2020 migrated and, since then, operates Sisu in a cloud environment, was responsible for developing a technological solution for the Acesso Único portal, from end to end. From the redesign of processes, through the modeling of the solution, to the creation of the Acesso Único portal, which was already “born” in the cloud. It is worth noting that the Acesso Único was co-created with the main stakeholders in improving access portals to higher education: students. Users who participated in previous editions of the Sisu, Prouni and Fies selection processes were heard by RNP and shared their browsing experiences, suggesting possible improvements.

Among the new features of the Portal, there is an advanced search tool, which has several filters, for a bank with thousands of digital data referring to the editions of Sisu, Prouni and Fies. In the new digital environment, the student will also be able to project the chances of being selected for the desired course, based on the cutoff scores available in the database, which can be compared with the score the student obtained in the National High School Exam (Enem) – actual or estimated data. In this session, the data can be filtered by the cutoff score of each course, by institution and its location, municipality and state, and also the number of vacancies offered by each edition of Sisu, Prouni and Fies.

And the new portal will be officially debuted by users soon. Next Tuesday (2/15) Sisu registration begins. Then, on 2/22, the start is given to those who are able to sign up for Prouni. Fies, on the other hand, receives registration from 3/8. Still this year, the portal should gain new functionalities, receive technological improvements and be enriched with more data.
