The Hackers do Bem program will hold its first challenge in the hackathon format during the Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computer Systems Security (SBSeg 2023), on September 16 and 17, at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (MG).
The competition will be face-to-face, as a team, and will take place from 9 am on September 16 (Saturday) to 7 pm on the 17th (Sunday). Undergraduate, graduate and high school students with basic knowledge in programming or cybersecurity can participate. Applications can be made individually or as a team. Teams can be assembled on the day of the competition.
Participants will be challenged to analyze a dataset containing alerts from an Intrusion Detection System deployed on RNP's Ipê Network to solve a real problem that will be presented at the opening of the competition. The use of data analysis tools, machine learning, among others, will be allowed.
