MEC launches MECPlace platform to offer free digital educational solutions

- 20/06/2022

In the late afternoon of 6/20, the Ministry of Education (MEC) launched the MECPlace (Innovation and Digital Educational Solutions Ecosystem), which seeks to incorporate, in an open environment, solutions and initiatives involving information technology to support Brazilian educational networks (municipal, district, state and federal) and will be made available free of charge to the federal units. The Minister of Education, Victor Godoy, and the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, participated in the ceremony at the Planalto Palace, in Brasília.

RNP is a MEC partner in the initiative, which is part of the National Policy for Learning Recovery, and will make available, within MECPlace, the NasNuvens and its free offers. The portal unites, in the same place, consulting, management, contracting solutions and infrastructure in a model completely designed for the education sector.

In his speech, Minister Victor Godoy emphasized the importance of partnerships with states and municipalities to minimize difficulties in accessing technology and digital devices by public school students.

“Any infrastructure and connectivity challenge necessarily involves articulation between the Union, states and municipalities. What we are doing in this perspective is to strengthen collaboration, leading structured processes of technology implementation to the entities”, stated Godoy.
