Campus Party Brasil is one of the greatest experiences for geeks and technology aficionados in Latin America. The event is a meeting point for those interested in innovation, games, cosplay, robotics, among other topics, and features a multitude of actions that promote the engagement of young campus residents and visitors. This year, the 15th edition took place in São Paulo, from the 25th to the 30th of July, at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion.

As connection is RNP's mission, for one edition of the event, we connected campus residents with internet at up to 10 Gigabits per second. Campus Party Brasil 15 also had eduroam WiFi, available for login through the Federated Academic Community (CAFe). Official sponsor of this geek experience, RNP was also present with a stand in the Open area and a lecture in the Arena.

Hackers do Bem Lecture

This year, RNP presented the Hackers do Bem program at Campus Party Brasil 15, an MCTI initiative, coordinated by Softex and executed by RNP and SENAI-SP, using resources from the ICT Law.

The program aims to train up to 30 thousand students in Information Security. The learning path goes from basic to advanced, up to a technological residency. The coordinator of the Hackers do Bem Hub, Cristian Gonzalez, explained how the program works and spoke more about the opportunities in the cybersecurity market in the lecture “Discover how to be a Hacker for Good”, which took place on 7/28, at the Arena, on the What's Next stage.

"The idea of Hackers do Bem is to create a squad, a hacker army, to meet the demand of the market, which today is very lacking in Information Security professionals. The lecture aimed to captivate young people who would like to enter the world of technology", explained Cristian.

Eduplay usability test

The Eduplay app, the largest educational content portal in Brazil, with more than 70 thousand videos, podcasts and TV and radio programs, underwent updates and RNP took the new version of Eduplay to be tested at Campus Party 15.

The update has more possibilities for users to interact with the platform's videos: likes, comments, shares are now possible in the new Eduplay app, which was developed based on the usability test carried out at the last Campus Party Brasil, in 2022.

"Our proposal was to validate the update of the Eduplay app. We wanted to test, together with the service's target audience, what we understand to be an improvement in usability", said Marcelino Cunha, Services Manager at RNP, about the action at the event. 

Stand in the Open Area

RNP also had a stand in the Open Area of the event and distributed gifts to those who visited the place and participated in the actions carried out there.
