The newspaper Jornal da Ciência, a publication that is a reference in the dissemination of public policies on science, technology, innovation and education in Brazil, published, on April 13, an article on the main priority axes on which RNP is to work, in order to increase the quality of the academic network, by 2020.

According to the article, the focus is to increase the connection quality at the campuses and develop the high-performance global network infrastructure. On the interview to Jornal da Ciência, RNP’s general director, Nelson Simões, said that one of the challenges is to “popularize RNP’s actions within the academic environment, especially in the post-graduation programs”.

Jornal da Ciência also mentioned RNP’s cooperation with the academic network of Mozambique, MoRENet, and the Amazon Connected Program (Programa Amazônia Conectada).
