A novelty, acquired in February 2022, expanded digital services in all Embrapa units, thus generating more comfort and facilities in the daily lives of employees. We are talking about Nasnuvens, offered by RNP since 2020 to its user organizations.  

NasNuvens brings together, in the same place, cloud consulting services, infrastructure, storage, content distribution, software and platform. The model is designed to serve educational and research institutions in the country in a customized way, supporting their digital transformation. 

By contracting NasNuvens, Embrapa started to benefit from a well-known provider available in the market: Google Workspace for Education Plus. In practice, the institution migrated from GSuite Fundamentals to Workspace for Education Plus, gaining a complete set of collaboration tools and services, such as: 

• Productivity applications with Google Docs Gmail, Google Calendar and Classroom with Meet;
• Storage with Google Drive;
• Messaging and collaboration tools and services; 

• Discount on the minimum amount offered by the provider;
• Support in migration or onboarding in service release;
• Training on the service management platform;
• Pedagogical training in functionalities for employees; 
• Guide for using the service with security and privacy;
• Support for integration with the CAFe federation - Federated Academic Community.
• Video for Health Platform (V4H), a digital healthcare service. 

 
RNP's Solutions Manager, Graciela Machado Leopoldino explains that in a standard contracting of the SaaS market, that is, Software as a Service, customers hardly have all these benefits. “Another advantage is the economy generated for institutions in the acquisition of services, since RNP negotiates conditions for all user organizations of the RNP System”, she says. 
 
In addition to these facilities, Nasnuvens provides other services for RNP user organizations. These are federated solutions by RNP itself, such as: Web Conference, Eduplay, Digital Diplomas, Filesender, Managed Moodle, ICPEdu and Research Solidarity. 

It is worth noting yet another recent advance at Embrapa provided by joining Nasnuvens: the acquisition of licenses for Windows servers, offered by Microsoft. This is a fundamental step for the company to have more comfort and stability in its operations. This is because the renewal of programs ensures that the applications available on employees' computers run properly and, above all, with more modern and reliable security updates.
