Released in April, perfSONAR 5.0 features re-engineering of its storage component and support for the latest operating systems. The development of the new storage component was led and implemented by RNP, with the aim of increasing its scalability and maintainability, for which it was based on the OpenSearch/ElasticSearch storage solution.  

The new version also contributes to the adoption of more widespread visualization tools such as Grafana and Kibana, to facilitate the creation of dashboards to support the operation and management by the perfSONAR community. A new version of the perfSONAR dashboard was also released with this new version at https://stats.perfsonar.net/.
