The Board of Directors and the Executive Board, on behalf of the entire RNP team, regret the passing of Professor Paulo André da Silva Gonçalves, researcher at the Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco (CIn/UFPE), in the early hours of this Monday -Friday, 5/8/2023. 

Married, father of twins, dedicated researcher and master, professor at CIn/UFPE for 18 years, where he coordinated the Computer Science course. 

Professor Paulo André also marked his contribution towards the direction of the Social Organization RNP, when he was part of the Board of Directors of RNP between 2019 and 2021, as a representative of the Laboratory of Computer Architecture and Networks of the University of São Paulo (LARC/USP).

To Paulo André's family, we express our deep condolences and celebrate his example.
