RNP creates Digital Health Technical Committee for prospection of technological solutions in the area
On Tuesday, 5/19, e the inaugural meeting of the Technical Committee in “Education and Research” in the Technological Prospection in Digital Health (CT-Saúde Digital) was held, an RNP initiative, which aims to be a forum to study the future of applications, products and services in digital health, in the different areas of research, development, and innovation. The group shall provide technological prospection in the applications of digital health area in annual cycles contributing to the construction of technical visions to guide new investments in R&D.
The academic researchers of the areas of Informatics; Health, Telemedicine and Telehealth Information, and Computing Applied to Health are members of the Committee. They were selected to represent the scientific societies, health education establishment networks, and governmental research organizations.
At the meetings, the trends in different health areas will be analyzed, such as: electronic record in health, telemedicine, communication in health collaborative networks, remote health education, electronic protocols, Artificial Intelligence in Health, Big Data and IoT in health, amongst others.
“It is especially important that we have a committee that guides us in this digital health world. The health community is the one with the most Collaborative Networks. With this group, we try to establish ways for the RNP System to be able proceed within the subject. We are aware of the importance of discussions of Work Groups and SIGs that compose these networks. We are also aware that we can help this continental country in an important way in the moment when the telemedicine achieves its regulatory peak. Our role is to facilitate the work and the participation of the research community in the future of digital health in Brazil”, RNP Institutional Relations deputy director Gorgonio Araújo affirmed during the inaugural session of the Committee.
CT-Saúde Digital will gather monthly, considering that there may extraordinary sessions for discussions and prospections about the topic.
