RNP promotes workshop on Testbeds at CSBC 2022

- 11/07/2022

Between 7/31 and 8/5, the Brazilian Computing Society promotes the 42nd edition of its annual congress, the CSBC 2022, this year in face-to-face format at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, with the theme “Digital Empowerment: The Role of Computing in Building an Inclusive and Democratic Society”.

As is tradition, the National Education and Research Network (RNP) promotes a workshop within the event, to encourage the use of experimentation platforms (testbeds) by undergraduate and graduate students in the field of computer networks, in support to Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities.

The Testbeds Workshop – WTestbeds – will take place on 8/1, from 9 am to 4 pm, with lectures by researchers on edge/fog/cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, e-Science and Digital Health. There will also be a technical session, from 11 am to 12:30 pm, where works accepted by the call launched by the Workshop Program Committee will be presented.

About RNP's Testbeds Service

At the Workshop, RNP will present its Testbeds service, which brings together the main experimentation platforms coordinated by RNP for experimental research. They are: Fibre; IDS; LOFT; CloudNEXT; GidLab; Science DMZ; and Fiware-Lab@RNP.

They support RD&I activities in software-defined networks, Internet of Things, identity management, new network architectures, among other areas of knowledge.

Questions can be forwarded directly to the coordination of WTestbeds by email  wtestbeds2022@rnp.br.
