RNP announces selected projects in the 2015 Identity Management Program
The Brazilian National Research and Educational Network announced on May 6th the list of approved projects in the Identity Management Programme 2015 (PGId). The purpose of the call is to promote the study of themes related to identity management, such as authentication and authorization protocols and public key infrastructure.
This year 17 proposals were received, demonstrating increased interest in issues relating to the area by the research community. From this universe, four projects were selected:
- The use of a second factor and continuous authentication in critical service providers

- Framework of A&A policy-based and attributes for virtual organizations

- A challenge-response authentication client device for Visual Cryptography

- A tool for monitoring and optimizing the CAFe federation
Advisor: Michele Nogueira
Scholar: Leonardo Melniski
Institution: Federal University of Paraná (UFPR)
The program lasts six months and the projects began operations in May. Selected works will be followed by the Identity Management Technical Committee (CT-GId) and receive financial investment by awarding research grants for responsible students.
After the development stage, the guiding and scholars will present the final results of projects at CT-GId.
