PADEX
A Superfacility for data processing at very high express performance.
Superconnectivity for scientific research
The Express High Performance Processing (PADEX) service was created to meet the demands of advanced high-capacity connectivity and assured throughput among researchers and shared high-performance storage and computing resources.
It offers support to e-Science activities, which require advanced computer resources and handling of large volumes of data in short period of time, to assure the success of scientific experiments.
Use Case - Sirius Project
Considered the largest project in the Brazilian science, the Sirius Accelerator is a last-generation research infrastructure, which will function as an open laboratory accessed by scientific and industrial communities spread throughout the country.
Padex was a service designed to connect the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) in Campinas to the Santos Dumont supercomputer at the National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (LNCC) in Petrópolis (RJ), 400 km away.
