Find security threats in your systems
vTest is a tool to support the strengthening of the information security offered by RNP to institutions in general, which want to detect security vulnerabilities in their systems. That is, the institutions themselves can monitor the IP addresses independently (there is a daily limit to check by IP).
Why do I need vTest?
VTest is a vulnerability testing tool developed by CAIS that enables you to verify whether or not given system is vulnerable to any of the weaknesses listed above or whether any corrective actions have been effectively implemented by means of a single interface.
To date, the tests have been carried out for seven groups of vulnerabilities associated with Domain Name System (DNS), Network Time Protocol (NTP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) services, as they are frequent targets for exploiting security threats in systems. In the future, new tests will be added according to the demand.
How to take vTest?
All institutions, which are part of CAFe, have free access to vTest. To join the Federation, contact the RNP Service Desk.
