Check out trends in areas, such as video collaboration, network monitoring and identity management.
RNP coordinates Technical Committees formed by researchers from different academic institutions in Brazil for network monitoring, identity management and video collaboration. The purpose is to follow up the evolution in these areas of knowledge, prospect technological solutions and make recommendations as consulting.
The Network Monitoring Technical Committee (CT-Mon) was created by RNP in 2011 to follow up the main technical-scientific progress in the network traffic monitoring area. Trends, such as use of machine learning, artificial intelligence, equipment with programmable data plan support and the increased use of cloud services and IoT applications, are identified.
The Identity Management Technical Committee (CT-GId) aims to make technical recommendations and present a vision of the future about subjects related to identity management, which have deserved the attention of researchers in Brazil and abroad. Some analyzed scenarios are healthcare applications, cloud and test federation, authorization and authentication research and system interoperability.
The Videocolaboration Technical Committee (CT-Video) was created to be an open forum for the study of the future of videocolaboration applications in the different research, development and innovation areas. Trends are analyzed in areas, such as: videoconference; video collaboration in health; television production, editing and transmission; telepresence systems; holography; 3D audio; security systems for video collaboration, among others.
