PoP-ES holds its first Network Technologies Workshop
In face-to-face format, PoP-ES holds its first Network Technologies Workshop (WTR) between July 13th and 15th, at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), in Vitória. Registration is now open.
The WTR is aimed at managers and technical teams in the ICT area of the main public and private teaching and research institutions in the state of Espírito Santo. The event will feature, on its first day, lectures in the areas of network management, governance, privacy and data protection, among other subjects.
"This will be the first WTR organized by PoP-ES, in addition to being one of the first face-to-face events after the start of the pandemic. We made a diverse program to meet the demands of user organizations, researchers and students with lectures on the new RNP System, the 100G backbone in Espírito Santo and information security. In addition, there will also be a lecture on how PoP contributes to academia in advancing intercontinental networks and 5G. We look forward to welcoming (and meeting) everyone in person, with all the biosecurity that the moment demands. To those who cannot come, I remind you that the WTR will be transmitted online", emphasizes the Administrative coordinator of PoP-ES, Vinícius Mota.
The event will also have the presence of the Capixaba Computer Museum, with an exhibition of part of its collection. The Capixaba Computer Museum is a local initiative focused on technological memory, the rescue and preservation of devices related to the world of information technology, especially computers and videogames.
