RNP's Point of Presence in Maranhão (PoP-MA), in partnership with the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), held, on September 29 and 30, another edition of the Network Technologies Workshop (WTR-MA) . In 100% online format, the event is aimed at managers and technical teams in the ICT area of the main public and private teaching and research institutions in the state.

For this year's edition, we will have nine lectures, in addition to a short course on Privacy by Design, a methodology created in the 1990s that considers the protection of users' data from the conception and planning of the systems and products development project, and that has gained prominence on account of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The moderation will be done by the administrative coordinator of the PoP-MA/RNP, José Ribamar Santana Netto.

"The 2nd Network Technology Workshop at RNP's Point of Presence in Maranhão (WTR-PoP-MA) is an event of great importance because the society of Maranhão has a great demand for network connectivity and services. RNP, when presenting and discussing network technology used in science, education and health; expands the horizons of our State towards a digital and social transformation. After 7 years of the first Workshop, we are returning with this event to never stop and be a reference for ICT in the State of Maranhão", explains Netto.

Among the topics to be addressed at the event are: RNP System, Evolution of the Ipê and Redecomep Network, Escola Superior de Redes, Digital Transformation in the pandemic, IX.br - How can an Internet Exchange Point improve the internet in a location?, PeeringDB – Update, DNS Anycast RNP and LGPD in 10 steps according to RNP methodology.
