RNP promotes a workshop on experimental research at CSBC2021

For the sixth consecutive year, the National Education and Research Network (RNP) will be present at the Brazilian Computer Society Conference (CSBC 2021), which will take place on 18 and 23/07 in Florianópolis (SC), with the WFIBRE (Workshop FIBER) The aim of the satellite event, which will be held online on Friday (23/07), starting at 9h, is to present initiatives for the use of experimental platforms (testbeds) in support of scientific research in Brazil.

During the event, the scientific community will also present and discuss opportunities for the use of RNP’s cyberinfrastructure for experimentation in computer networks, distributed systems, cybersecurity, blockchain, IoT, among others.

Highlights of the program

During the opening, the director of RD&I of RNP, Iara Machado, will talk about the importance and the role of academic networks in support of experimental research. Then, the keynote speakers Michael Stanton and José Rezende (RNP), will discuss the impact of experimentation on the quality of academic research.

During the workshop, the works selected by the call published by RNP will be presented, with reports on the use of platforms for experimentation and support to RD&I in various areas of knowledge: Internet of Things, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Multilayer Networks, in addition to the case studies.
