On the 18 and 19 of May, the RNP's Point of Presence in Santa Catarina will host the 10th edition of the Network Technologies Workshop (WTR-SC), which will be held online. The lectures and panels will be transmitted by the Web Conferencing service.

The event is targeted at ICT managers and technical teams of the leading public and private institutions of education and research in the state of Santa Catarina. Topics such as institution compliance with GDPR, digital certification, digital transformation, and continuity of service to users during the pandemic will be discussed, in addition to cases of institutions that have evolved their infrastructure.

The schedule for the 18/05 includes Diego Menegazzi, responsible for data in the Federal Catarinense Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFC), Gleide Bittencourt Ordovás, director of the University Library of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Guilherme Gerônimo, IT analyst of UFSC, Daniel Dias Flamia, head of IT Infrastructure at Fundação Universidade do Oeste of Santa Catarina (Unoesc), and Jhony Maiky Maseto, a network analyst at the Community University of the Chapecó Region.

On 19/05, Antonio Moreiras and Eduardo Morales, from the Nucleus for Information and Coordination of Point BR (NIC.br), and Flavian Angeli, with the case of the Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB), will participate in the Workshop. 

On the 20 and 21/5, those registered will have the opportunity to receive training in network cybersecurity: a technical tutorial on BGP-RPKI, a protection against prefix theft in BGP. The training will be moderated by Luis Demetrius, RNP, with the participation of Eduardo Barasal Morales and Tiago Jun Nakamura (NIC.br).

The Network Technologies Workshop is promoted by RNP's Points of Presence in their states, with the coordination of RNP.
