Working Groups present status of the projects developed within the scope of the R&D calls

February 3 was fully dedicated to innovation at RNP. The workshop held by the Assistant Division for Research, Development and Innovation Management, explained the news of the organization's R&D Programs and opened space for the eight Working Groups (WGs) selected in the calls 2019 and 2020 to present the status of their projects.

In the morning, the four GTs in Phase 1 talked about the lessons learned from the entrepreneurial qualification and the building of the business model, displayed videos about the journey and showed the business and the product vision. Watch the recorded presentations.

GT-Archimedes: Tool that aims to provide knowledge about the security behavior and vulnerabilities, quantify the risks and prevent financial loss in the digital infrastructure formed by IoT and 5G devices.

GT-ChainID: Universal platform for identity management by means of blockchain which aims to facilitate access with decentralized authentication, interoperability among federated networks, single and shared network, multi-standard authentication and self-sovereign digital identity.

GT-FeedbackBot: Tool, the purpose of which is to assist the teachers in the correction of the students' activities by means of error detection by AI, with the ability to provide structured and individual feedback and generate evolution statistics.

The afternoon program was opened with a presentation by the Services Manager Rodrigo Azevedo about NasNuvens and how the Multinuvem digital management and financial control platform for the teaching and research community can help in the offer of the new solutions developed by RNP´s R&D Programs.

Then, the GTs selected in 2019, which are in Phase 2 and are evaluated by a NasNuves team, presented the evolution of their products from MVP (Minimum Viable Product), its cataloging  in NasNuvens and the experiments, which have already been made and to be made for validation. Watch the recorded presentations.

GT-LiteCampus: Monitoring data processing and analysis platform, especially, for energy consumption data, which can be used in universities, technology centers, hospitals and other large energy consumers.

GT-Periscope: The group developed the tool Sherlock-X which is able to anticipate and prevent cyber-attacks, automate the discovery of vulnerabilities and botnets, provide the management of vulnerabilities and responses to incidents, and contribute to the adaptation to LGPD.

GT-RecMEM: Educational content hub which annotates and indexes content from educational repositories (including private repositories) and LMS (Learning Management System) and which, through recommendation systems, assists the teachers in the preparation of support materials for remote teaching and the indication of content for their students.

GT-V4H (Video for Health): Video conferencing service focused on the requirements of Digital Health applications. Basically, V4H allows secure point-to-point connection, authentication of participants, encrypted recording, preservation and restoring of the video, digital signature of the video and registration on the blockchain, according to the needs of the client´s specific application.
