Next Tuesday, February 2th, the Magic Project (Middleware for Collaborative Applications and Virtual Global Communities), initiative to leverage global collaboration among researchers and students, promote the First Virtual Meeting of the Global Science Community in eHealth. This is the first activity in e-Health to be held by web conferencing, in order to present different experiences in eHealth in the world, through the exchange of knowledge and collaboration possibilities.

The national coordinator of the Telemedicine University Network (Rute), Luiz Ary Messina, will be the meeting moderator, bringing together participants from academic networks and institutions in Latin America, such as RedCLARA, in Caribe as the CKLN, in Africa as UbuntuNet Alliance, apart from the specific RNP. He will also make a presentation on the scene of telemedicine in Brazil, using as a success if the work done by Rute, coordinated by RNP in the country.

"The initiative is considered one of the world's largest and in 2012 received the qualification of best practice in telemedicine in Latin America and the Caribbean by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Commission Economic for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), "said the coordinator of RNP's shares in the Magic project, Antônio Carlos Fernandes Nunes.

The event will begin at 11 am, Brasília time, and the language spoken is English. The forecast duration is three hours. A version of Mconf system, originally developed from working group of RNP will be used.

Recently, Messina joined the working group 5 (WP5) Magic project, which deals with issues of the Global Community Sciences, focusing on awareness and training of research communities on the use of collaborative technology platforms. He will coordinate the community of e-Health in the group.
