RNP was present at the Rio Innovation Week, the most complete technology and innovation meeting in Latin America, held between the 13th and 16th of January, in Rio de Janeiro. The event had 15 simultaneous stages, 500 speakers, a thousand startups and incubators and more than 190 exhibitors.
The RNP stand told a little of the history and explained what it means to be the Brazilian network for education and research. It was located in Vila da Ciência (Science Village), a space that brought together the 27 entities linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), including research units, social organizations, agencies and municipalities with the objective of presenting the main initiatives of the portfolio and what is now cutting edge in the development of science and technology in Brazil, such as artificial intelligence, 4.0 technologies, rocket construction, biotechnology and renewable energy.
“This event is an opportunity for projects linked to the ministry to have other visions, other horizons and reach further through the connections and knowledge captured here. Within the ministry, we have several important tools for innovation that already help several startups across the country", highlighted the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Marcos Pontes, who participated in the Rio Innovation Week schedule on Friday, 1/14.
