Official Notice: Clarification about failures in RNP services

Since Friday, February 8, some customers may be identifying problems accessing RNP services. This is happening due to a drop in connection, a result of the incorrect operation of the controller since it is impossible to access IDC storage.

RNP’s responsible teams, along with Dell, are working from the beginning to fix the failures. At times, in the last few days, a contour solution was implemented, which, at the time of application and, from the tests performed, gave the sensation of solving the problems, but, with the access of multiple users and increased use, the cascade effect returned.

At the moment, the greater certainty that we have is related to the degree of reliability with respect to the data inside the servers, since we guarantee those data will not be lost.

The following is the list of affected services:

·         Eduroam;

·         Filesender;

·         LDAP/AD Authentication Service;

·         VoIP;

·         MConf.

We regret what happened and we guarantee that the efforts will not be minimized until we get the complete and definitive solution of the failures.
