This year, debates about the various types of attacks and threats on the internet, which can cause both financial and personal losses, are highlights of the programme. Topics include hijacking information, stealing financial information online, exposing personal information, and sharing fake news. In this way, the lectures will also guide users on how to avoid further harm to these threats.

Fake News

With the democratization of Internet access, the power of users to generate any kind of content and share it instantaneously has caused the repercussions of Fake News to grow at an alarming rate. A recent study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) reported that fake news spread 70% faster than real news and reach far more users. During DISI, experts will bring information to the public about this issue as well as new methods to fight fake news.
