Inatel promotes event on 6G mobile networks in Brazil

On Friday (2/11), starting at 9 am, the National Institute of Telecommunications (Inatel) promotes the Brazil 6G workshop, to present the main results of the research carried out so far and the applications planned for the next generation of mobile communications.

The event celebrates the Brazil 6G Project, an initiative that brings together several research institutions to create a favorable ecosystem for the development of a new mobile communications network in the country.

The program includes the research coordinator of the Reference Center for Radiocommunications (CRR), Luciano Leonel Mendes, and CRR specialists Daniely Gomes Silva and Juliano Silveira Ferreira; researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, and director of the 6G Flagship project Matti Latva-Aho; Inatel professor José Marcos Brito; the coordinator of the Wireless and Optical Convergent Access Laboratory (WOCA), Arismar Cerqueira Sodré Junior; postdoctoral researcher at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Michelle Soares Pereira Facina; professor at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) Aldebaro Klautau; and the professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Flávio de Oliveira Silva.

About the Brazil 6G Project

The Brasil 6G project is part of the PPI - Computer Priority Programs and Projects, coordinated by RNP and carried out together with Inatel, the Telecommunications Research and Development Center (CPQD) and universities. The project started in February 2021 and will last for two years. The objective is to build a testbed environment for new applications on 6G mobile networks and beyond.
