The objective the group is to work on the prediction of distributed attacks of denial of service (DDoS), which are a problem under evolution with the Internet of Things. These attacks aim to suspend important services of the network, resulting in significative moral and financial loss to the organizations. The project is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Michele Nogueira, a leader of the Computing Security Science Center (CCSC) of Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), and the innovation assistant Wagner Monteverde, specialist in Information Security with ISO 27001 certification, CEO of the Cybernetic Security Startup EarlySec.

The project is currently developing its solution, called Sherlock-X, to work in the prediction of these distributed attacks and analyze how aligned with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) the institution is.
