CTIC attends ICT 2018 in Austria

The Center for Research and Development in Digital Technologies for Information and Communication (CTIC) took part in ICT 2018, held in Vienna (Austria) from 4 to 6 December, considered the biggest event promoted by the European Commission in ICT. With an audience of more than 5,500 people, ICT aims to discuss the priorities of the European Union (EU) in the process of digital transformation of society and industry.

The participation of CTIC in ICT 2018 was focused on the dissemination of international cooperation between Brazil and the EU. In addition to a booth in the ICT exhibition area, CTIC representatives also made a presentation in one of the sections of the event, which covered the history of cooperation, the selection model and, a dynamic for the interaction of Brazilian and European audience (networking session), encouraging them to cooperate.

"We have identified and talked with hundreds of people interested in participating in the so-called Brazil-European Union coordinated projects. Other countries, such as Japan and Australia, have also shown interest in cooperation with Brazil, "said WICPP's Wanderson Paim.

About BR-EU ICT Cooperation

The projects executed in cooperation between Brazilian and European institutions under the coordinated calls are fruits of resources of the Informatics Law, managed by the Secretariat of Digital Policy (Sepod) of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications (MCTIC). RNP makes use of these resources, through the Priority Programs and Projects in IT (PPI), to coordinate projects and promote cooperation in a harmonious way, seeking to support the development and enhance the results of the research.
