On December 1 and 2, RNP will be one of the co-organizers of Cloudscape Brazil 2015, international conference on collaboration through cloud computing. The event will take place in the auditorium of the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics (Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas - CBPF) in Rio de Janeiro. In its second edition in Brazil, the conference is promoted by the project EU-Brazil Cloud Connect and funded by Brazil-EU Cooperation Program in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) area.

Cloudscape Brazil aims to bring together representatives from research institutions, government, and companies to present scenarios and cases of use on how cloud computing can contribute to scientific research. Cloud service federalization, scientific applications that require high storage capacity, the involvement of the private sector and issues related to data privacy are some of the programming highlights.

On December 1, at 12:30pm, the Service and Solution Director, José Luiz Ribeiro Filho, and RNP’s Research and Development Director, Michael Stanton, will take part in the session on cloud use experiences. On December 2, at 2pm, Stanton will be one of the guests at the session on collaboration between Brazil and European Union. RNP will also be present in discussions on cloud services federalization and international collaboration and cloud federated infrastructure for research and science.
